Collaborating on a Groundbreaking Diabetes Cure Project in Dubai

April 15th, 2025Press Release

This week in Dubai marked an important step toward advancing our mission to achieve a complete cure for diabetes. We had the privilege of welcoming H.E. Peter Adelbai, Ambassador of the Republic of Palau to Japan, and Professor Hideto Kojima of Shiga University of Medical Science. The gathering, held together with Mr. James Park, Managing Director of Khoory & Park LLC, was an opportunity to align our shared vision and explore strategic partnerships for the ambitious diabetes cure project we plan to carry out in Dubai. The meeting was arranged as part of a formal invitation to Ambassador Adelbai, highlighting our commitment to bringing together expertise in medicine, diplomacy, and business to address one of the most pressing health challenges of our time.

Our discussions centered on the scientific, logistical, and regulatory frameworks necessary to launch this pioneering initiative. Professor Kojima shared insights from his extensive research on the development of curative treatments for diabetes, including advanced cell-targeting drug delivery technologies. Ambassador Adelbai offered valuable perspectives on fostering international collaboration, drawing on Palau’s strong record of environmental and health-related initiatives. Mr. Park contributed his expertise in regional business development, emphasizing Dubai’s potential as a hub for global healthcare innovation. Together, we examined opportunities for integrating cutting-edge medical research with Dubai’s growing infrastructure for advanced healthcare and fintech, laying the groundwork for a project that could have a transformative impact both regionally and globally.

In addition to focusing on the medical and operational aspects, our dialogue also addressed the importance of building a sustainable ecosystem around the project. This includes engaging with policymakers, securing regulatory clarity, and fostering public awareness to ensure both scientific and societal support. The synergy between the participants — combining medical expertise, diplomatic channels, and strategic business networks — underscored the unique strength of this collaboration. While challenges lie ahead, much like Dubai’s own rapid transformation into a global center for innovation, we are confident that with careful planning and committed partnerships, we can make significant progress toward a future where diabetes can be completely cured. The meeting in Dubai was more than just a discussion; it was the beginning of a shared journey, uniting diverse expertise to tackle a global health issue with determination and vision.
